By downloading, installing, or using Murmur, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the application.
Murmur is a macOS dictation application that provides system-wide voice-to-text input with optional AI-powered text enhancement. The service includes on-device speech recognition, cloud-based text enhancement, personal dictionary sync, and automatic software updates.
Some features of Murmur require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account.

Murmur and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Murmur and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Your dictated content remains yours — we claim no ownership over text you create using Murmur.
The AI enhancement feature processes your transcribed text through a third-party language model. While we strive for accuracy, AI-enhanced text may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing enhanced text before use. Murmur is not liable for any consequences arising from AI-generated modifications to your text.
Murmur offers a free tier with core dictation functionality and a Pro tier with additional features including AI enhancement. Features, pricing, and tier availability may change at any time. We will provide notice of material changes to paid services.
Murmur may automatically check for and install updates. These updates may include bug fixes, feature improvements, or security patches. Continued use of Murmur after an update constitutes acceptance of any changes.
Murmur is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Murmur and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the application.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Murmur at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the application ceases immediately. You may also stop using Murmur and delete your account at any time.
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of Murmur after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
